With all the extra time to do a bunch of things, you either find yourself just lounging about or too tired from going all over the place. This is just not the recipe for having a fun and memorable summer. You might as well hide yourself under the covers.

Kids and teens alike are notorious for going out of their way to find their own mini-adventures when school’s out. Activities that tickle the young’s fancy can often mean disastrous if not illegal or down right horrendous. Well, we were kids once and you surely know how that oh-so-coveted adrenaline rush feels.

Can’t they just stay indoors and behave themselves?

They can – and they most likely will if you have a mansion with a Disneyland inside. It’s really impossible to keep kids steady in one place nowadays but I’ve unlocked the secret on how this can be done. And it’s pretty simple you might not even believe it’s real.

The only key to keep kids indoors is to make your home inviting and more interesting than the world outside. Doing so will get them stay voluntarily with no questions asked.

Here are – activities that you can do with your kids to make your home the happiest and the best place on Earth.

1.      Cook their favorite meals
2.      Bake cooking with them
3.      Host a summer shindig for their friends
4.      Decorate seat or patio furniture covers with cloth patches, ribbons, buttons or any design tool
5.      Renovate, remodel or restyle their room. You can also do other rooms as well
6.      Build a garden in your backyard
7.      Get a puppy
8.      Go on a movie or a series marathon
9.      Allow them to write and design their own books
10.  Revamp their closet by restyling their clothes
11.  Turn your home into your very own summer boot camp
12.  Help them stage a mini concert, fashion show or stage play in your backyard
